The awesome line up
Day 1 was dance day and was unfortunately totally douchey. I showed up mid-day sober and hated everyone except like 2 people here and there. I kind of wanted treasure Island to sink into the bay to take the unfortunate slice of the population with it. Sorry, was having a Ghost World moment.
Everyone looked like this. Bunch of dude bros and sorority ladies in offensive native american garb to see Empire of the Sun. I was not enthused. Chromeo came off crappy, but I realllllly enjoyed Cut Copy. They gave me chills. Other fun peeps to watch were Death from Above, and Flying Lotus. Battles was weird when just playing over a recorded track with only video boxes singing the lyrics in the absence of the lead singer and Geographer and Aloe Blacc went on too early for me to feel compelled to get there that damn early.
Day 2 was supremely better. All the douche was gone! My kind of people. I ate pretty good food and stated the day off with the Oh Sees. Beach house gave me chills. Warpaint met my expectations and were to drool for with how their music changes up and unfolds each song, Friendly Fires was just as good as when I had seen them years prior, Wild Beasts were nice to feelt the wind to and St. Vincent was rad as well. Antlers were kinda boring and Weekend was solid (I also was standing behind someone who was 50 and she had really short shorts on that were falling apart because they had been worn too many times and it was 2pm and she was completely lit already and I just listened to the music and watched her because she kept trying to dance with some boring younger ladies standing around her.
During Wild Beasts we rode the ferris wheel. It was fucking fantastic.
